Privacy policy
1. Controller
The company named in the legal notice is the controller for the processing of personal data on this website. For data protection matters you can reach us at the address given there or by email.
2. Visiting the site and server logs
When you visit this website our server processes technically necessary connection data: the shortened IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the HTTP status code and the volume of data transferred. This processing is necessary to deliver the page and to defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in secure operation. Logs are deleted after seven days at the latest.
3. Client enquiries
If you use the enquiry form, we process the details you provide in order to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to take steps towards a contract. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR together with our legitimate interest in answering enquiries under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete this data once the enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention period applies.
4. Applications
If you apply through the application form, we process your details solely in order to run the application process. The legal basis is section 26(1) BDSG together with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If we do not offer you a position, we delete your data at the latest six months after the process ends; that period follows from possible claims under the German General Equal Treatment Act. If you would like us to keep your details for future vacancies, tell us; we then store them on the basis of your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you may withdraw at any time.
5. Sending email
To confirm your enquiry or application we send an automatic email to the address you gave. We use a service provider for sending, with a data processing agreement in place. The content of these messages is kept to what is necessary; your contact details and your message itself are not passed to third parties by email.
6. Local storage in your browser
We store three things in your browser, all technically necessary and none of them analysed: your language choice, your choice between the light and dark appearance, and — while you are filling in a form — a working copy of what you have typed. The working copy is held in your browser's sessionStorage so that switching language or reloading the page by accident does not destroy what you have written. It never leaves your device, is deleted when you submit the form and when you close the browser tab, and contains neither the consent tick box nor anything already sent to us. No consent is required for this under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG.
7. Recipients and transfers
Within our company your data is passed only to the people who need it to deal with your enquiry. The only external recipients are processors for hosting and email and, where this policy describes it, for delivering the website. Your data is not transferred for advertising purposes and is not sold.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Consent you have given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, simply write to the address in the legal notice.
9. Right to complain
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin. You may also contact the authority where you live.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our processing or the legal position changes. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
